“ I don't often shop at Schnucks, but my usual store didn't have what I was looking for so I popped over here. I was really impressed. Schnucks has made a lot of changes since the last time I was here. Some good, some not so good. I do love that they have Boars Head meats and a very nice bakery too. The store was laid out much better and very clean. It felt more organized. Everyone I came in contact with was very friendly. One thing I don't like about Schnucks is you have to wait in line to be checked out. Then you are designated a lane to go to. I find that odd. Another thing that really surprised me is they have monitors on their carts. If you leave the store without paying I guess the wheels lock. I guess that's one way to curb shop and runs. Hubby thought it would be dangerous if it screwed up and for some reason thought you hadn't paid when you had. That would be embarrassing. I'm not sure about that, I think I 'll carry my groceries out by hand just in case. lol Has theft become so much of a problem they have to do this? I find that a bit scary and sad. However, very nice store! ”
“ Excellent service, clean store, great selection of fresh products and cake decorator is the best in town. ”
“ Hard working people during such challenges times! Friendly and quick....great grocery store! ”
“ They have vegan cheese! Woohoo! It's Daiya's shredded cheddar cheese. :) Knocked a star off for no vegan pita bread (there is only have one choice of pita bread but it contains L-Cysteine which comes from human and animal hair, or feathers). ”
“ I love going here for their salad bar. Salad bar is very clean The older lady that works on the salad bar is a sweetheart. Always very helpful ”
“ The Collisnville Schnucks store is about a good a grocery store you can find in the Metro East. I'd go as far to say that any other Schnucks store will have to show something way above average to exceed the customer service at this store. In one particularly shiny moment, Schnuck stores along a route I was traveling showed a gross lack of minimal customer support when compared to the Collinsville. In one day I started at the Collinsville store which ran out of a special, but they called the store in Fairview Heights who said they had the product. I got to Fairview Heights (US50) and the seafood counter person was just rude. At the O'Fallon store a few minutes later, a guy at the deli was too lazy to do anything but shot out instructions from 50 feet away. Finally at the Centralia, IL store, the cashier was in a crap mood. In the end, I longed to have not entered any of those other Schnucks, but I did tell each of their managers they should aspire to have customer service like the Collinsville store. Also, you can find plenty of values in Schnucks if you shop smartly. ”
